We Made it!!!

We made it! The flight was great -- the worst part was the LAX International Terminal. We are adjusting well to the time change... although we are in bed at 9pm and up at 5:30! The weather is gorgeous and the city is just wonderful.

We have been exploring a lot... on Friday we visited UQ and attended the Christmas party (outside in the warm sun, it felt nothing like Christmas). Saturday included a visit to Mount Coot-Cha for a breathtaking view of the entire city and our first bush tailed possum sighting (they are so cute!). Birds have included a wide variety of parrots, crows, magpies, honeyeaters, kukaburras, and lots of other things we can't even begin to identify. I am finding the new array of wildlife VERY humbling...

ET's advisor and family took us hiking in the rainforest on Sunday and we also visited "Walk-About-Creek" Environmental Center where we saw a platypus, wombat, pademelons, frog-mouths, water dragons and more. We know that is a place we'll be taking any and all visitors.
